ABOUT JONATHAN
Jonathan Clark has nearly a decade of experience in the legal industry, working at two international law firms, first at Katten Muchin Rosenman in New York City, and for the last five years in the Miami office of K&L Gates LLP.
Jonathan's practice involves advising businesses, lenders and individuals on a wide range of real estate and corporate issues, including entity formation and limited liability protection, preparation and negotiation of corporate related agreements and contracts, the acquisition, development and disposition of residential and commercial real property, the leasing of commercial and residential space by landlords and tenants, and secured financing on behalf of both borrowers and lenders. Jonathan also handles the extensive title, survey, environmental and related review and diligence underlying such transactions.
Jonathan has an in-depth knowledge of Florida real estate and business law, helping clients with strategy related to tax, regulatory compliance and other laws. He has guided clients through Florida's documentary stamp and intangible transfer taxes in a wide range of real estate related ventures, both local and interstate, including secured financings, loan workouts, and the purchase and sale of real estate.
Jonathan received his juris doctor from University of Michigan Law School, and his BA from the Honors College of the University of Washington, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with distinction.
In his spare time Jonathan is devoted to fitness, enjoys recreational tennis, basketball and golf and unwinds by reading literature and practicing conversational Spanish.
